Zvezdochki truly shone brightly in all their lessons today! First, they worked diligently on a dictation, then had the honour of meeting His Majesty the Verb and played exciting games with him. Afterwards, they shared their impressions of the books they had read. And what an experience it was!
"Why?" you might ask.
Because the books were read in English, yet their retellings in Russian included all the gripping details of the thrilling plots. But that’s not all! The children also showcased their creative talents as cover designers, inventing and decorating book covers with titles translated into Russian. Simply fantastic! Oh, and the stories themselves were truly out of this world 🚀.
In addition to all that, they discussed the results of their experiment with boiled and raw carrots. The findings were as follows: raw carrots stored without water and air kept best, though those in saltwater remained quite appealing (though we didn’t taste them 😁). As for boiled carrots—keeping them in a bag for too long is a definite no-go. The appearance and smell were far from pleasant!
Later, the Stars moved on to their economics lesson, diving into the fascinating world of banking. Now, they can confidently distinguish counterfeit notes from genuine ones! They explored the concept of cash payments versus payments with a debit card and acted out scenarios using both methods. The consensus? Using a debit card is more convenient, but one must always keep an eye on the balance. Otherwise, trouble might arise. What kind of trouble? Ask our budding young economists!
Meanwhile, Kapelki enjoyed during their maths lesson by solving and independently creating problems around the composition of the number 7. Alongside Smarty, they discovered just how versatile and magically significant the number 7 is.
For instance:
It’s musical – think of the seven notes.
It’s breathtakingly beautiful – the seven colours of the rainbow and the seven wonders of the world.
It’s organised and sequential – the seven days of the week.
It’s magical – the seven knights, the seven brothers Simeon, and the enchanted seven-petalled flower.
What would you say about the number 7?

Our lovely Kapelki family also welcomed a new member today—Idrees. A warm welcome to Bukovka! We wish him lots of joy and delight in acquiring new knowledge as he joins our exciting journey of learning.
