Cat Records

Today Zvezdochki were fascinated by feline achievements! You might think we discussed how much cats can eat or how long they can sleep. But no! We talked about the entire cat family and learned that no prey can escape a cheetah—the fastest land animal. However, climbing a tree might help, as cheetahs aren’t great climbers due to their blunt claws.

We also learned about lions, panthers, snow leopards with their striking blue eyes, sleek leopards, intelligent cougars, fluffy Pallas’s cats, and many more feline species. Of course, we couldn’t forget about our beloved domestic cats! Everyone instantly wanted to adopt one—after all, life with a cat is always fun and full of surprises, isn’t it?

Lesson with Lucy: Learning the Letter "L" and the World Around Us

During our grammar lesson, the “Droplets” were keen to learn more about the letter "L." We asked our friend Lucy to tell us about her favourite letter. She was more than happy to oblige and was in such a rush to join us that she not only put on mismatched shoes but also ran out in her pyjamas!

However, after spotting other children in their school uniforms, Lucy realised she ought to get changed as well. While we waited for her, we revised all the vowels from the “red house,” practised some tongue twisters, did a bit of finger gymnastics, and completed a few exercises to sharpen our attention.

Once Lucy returned, she took the lead as we tackled our tasks: forming syllables, learning to read them smoothly, and figuring out their place in words. Yes, syllables, not just letters! What an exciting discovery!

Lucy was having such a lovely time that she decided to stay on for our maths lesson. We explored different ways to make up numbers—it was tricky but absolutely fascinating!

After break, we headed to our nature studies lesson, where we learnt all about foxes and their clever ways. We recalled a few well-known fairy tales about this cunning creature, then used our crafty hands to make a little running fox. Where do you think she might be off to? Chasing chickens, perhaps?
