What a wonderful time of year December is! The approach of Christmas festivities can be felt not only at home, where the Christmas tree is already sparkling, and elves visit the children at night, but also during our lessons. How, you ask? Here’s how.
Our young talents are eagerly preparing to meet Father Christmas, rehearsing musical and dance performances with enthusiasm. And during today’s creative lesson, they crafted even more masterpieces — this time for their parents. What clever and creative little ones they are!
Today, Kapelki played a game of mathematical cat and mouse to solidify their understanding of the number 8. The task was for a specific number of cats to catch the correct number of mice. But oh, how quick and clever those little mice were! The cats and kittens had quite a challenge of completing their mission precisely.
Their reward? A rocket launch! But even reaching the launchpad on time proved tricky— the crew’s bus broke down and had to be rebuilt piece by piece. Thankfully, everyone worked swiftly and flawlessly! With time to spare, the crew stocked up on provisions for the journey. They counted the food tubes to ensure there was enough for everyone.
With the rocket ready at the launch site, the astronauts took their places across three levels. In the mission control centre, Milana remained in charge. “Let’s go!” everyone cheered in unison as they embarked on their space adventure. Hooray!
Zvezdochki, after diligently working on verb tenses — perfect, ongoing, and repetitive actions — completed a series of challenging tasks. A well-deserved rest was in order… but the topic of the next lesson was so enticing and delicious that, after a quick snack, they dove headfirst into the world of desserts.
They travelled across countries, discovering exotic treats and, of course, sampling the delights of various cuisines: French, Belgian, English, Turkish, Russian, and Chinese. Along the way, they learned fascinating facts about the origins of everyone’s favourite enchanting frozen dessert. Yes, that’s right—ice cream!
Did you know that mentions of ice cream trace back to Ancient China? And the frozen juice popsicle, adored by children everywhere, was first "invented" by an 11-year-old boy in America? What an exciting and tasty adventure it was!
